How to run an A/B test on your CTA

A/B Testing
4 min read
Summary: Test two versions of your link to find which button text or URL converts better.

A/B Testing

A/B Testing is a Pro feature. It lets you test two versions of a link — different button text or different destination URLs — to find which one gets more clicks.

Creating a test

1
Go to Dashboard → A/B Testing
2
Click "New test"
3
Enter a test name (e.g. "Book a Call CTA test")
4
Fill in Variant A:
Button text (e.g. "Book a free 30-min call")
Destination URL
5
Fill in Variant B:
Button text (e.g. "Schedule a strategy session")
Destination URL
6
Click "Start test"

How traffic is split

Once a test is running, each visitor to your page sees either Variant A or Variant B — split 50/50 automatically. Impressions and clicks are tracked separately for each variant.

Reading results

Each variant card shows:

Views — how many times it was shown
Clicks — how many times it was clicked
CTR — click-through rate (clicks ÷ views × 100)
A progress bar comparing the two variants

The leading variant gets a green "trending up" icon. The winner gets a trophy icon.

Declaring a winner

When you have enough data (at least 100 impressions per variant is a good minimum):

1
Open the test card and click the expand arrow
2
Click "Variant A wins" or "Variant B wins"
3
The test status changes to Completed
4
Go to your Dashboard and update your main link to use the winning copy and URL

Pausing and resuming tests

Click the pause icon on a running test to pause it. Click play to resume. Paused tests stop splitting traffic but keep their data.

Deleting a test

Click the trash icon on any test card. This permanently removes the test and its data.
