Background image and video are Pro features available in the Appearance Builder.

Uploading a background image

Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Customizable tab

In the Background section, click "Image" under Style

Click "Upload image"

Select a JPG, PNG, or WebP file

The image uploads and applies instantly

Overlay opacity — after uploading, use the overlay slider to darken the image so your text stays readable. 20–40% overlay works well for most images.

Uploading a background video

Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Customizable tab

In the Background section, click "Video" under Style

Click "Upload video"

Select an MP4 or WebM file (keep it under 10MB for fast loading)

The video plays silently on loop on your page

Tips for background media

Use high-contrast text colors when using a busy background

Keep video files small — large videos slow down your page load

Portrait-oriented images (9:16) look best on mobile

Test your page on mobile after uploading — most visitors are on phones

Removing a background

Click the X button on the current background preview to remove it. Your page will revert to the solid color background.
