How to use the UTM Builder

UTM Builder
5 min read
Summary: Build UTM-tagged URLs to track exactly which campaigns drive traffic to your links.

UTM Builder

Go to Dashboard → UTM Builder to create trackable campaign URLs.

What are UTM parameters?

UTM parameters are tags added to the end of a URL that tell analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4, etc.) where a visitor came from. Example:

https://yoursite.com/page?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=spring-launch

The five UTM fields

Source (required) — where the traffic comes from: instagram, google, newsletter
Medium (required) — the marketing channel: social, email, cpc, referral
Campaign (required) — the campaign name: spring-sale, product-launch, bio-link
Term (optional) — paid keywords, mostly for Google Ads
Content (optional) — differentiate ad versions: top-button, banner-a

Building a URL

1
Go to Dashboard → UTM Builder
2
Either type a base URL or click one of your existing links to auto-fill it
3
Fill in Source, Medium, and Campaign (required)
4
Click "Show optional params" to add Term and Content if needed
5
The generated URL appears in the preview box
6
Click "Copy URL" to copy it to your clipboard

Applying UTM tags to an existing link

1
Select a link from the "Quick-fill from your links" row
2
Fill in your UTM fields
3
Click "Apply to [link name]" — this updates the link's URL in your dashboard directly

Saving presets

If you use the same source/medium/campaign combination often (e.g. always tagging Instagram posts), save it as a preset:

1
Fill in your UTM fields
2
Click "Save as preset"
3
Give it a name (e.g. "Instagram Bio")
4
Click Save

Next time, click the preset chip to auto-fill all fields instantly.
